SESSER — The Sesser-Valier-Waltonville football program is adding a coaching hall-of-famer to be their co-head coach for the coming season. Mike Rude has 47 years of head coaching experience, was inducted into the Illinois High School Football Coaches Hall of Fame in 1995, and will be coaching alongside John Shadowens this fall.
Rude is honored at the opportunity to be a part of the S.V.W. football program.
Rude has coached for many high schools across the state, including stops at Anna-Jonesboro, Marion, Johnston City, and Vienna.
