IHSA Hopeful New TV Network Brings Many Benefits to High School Sports

ILLINOIS — With the announcement of the new statewide television network for high school football and basketball state championships, IHSA officials are talking about the many benefits more exposure will bring for high school sports.

Matt Troha is the Assistant Executive Director over Media Relations with the IHSA. He says while where you can see a game on TV may have changed over the years, there are many aspects of high school sports that have not changed.

The IHSA is partnering with Quincy Media and some other local affiliates to bring the championship games across the state, including to WSIL out of Carterville.
