MARION — The Marion Wildcats are in the driver’s seat for the South Seven Conference crown in football. All that stands between them and the championship is rival Carbondale, who is looking for a share of that title tomorrow night in Jackson County. Cahokia could also make it a three-way tie for the conference championship with a Carbondale win Friday and by taking care of Althoff themselves.
Wildcats football coach Kerry Martin says parody in the conference makes the game fun to follow.
Marion heads into the Carbondale matchup undefeated in conference and on the season. Carbondale is 6-1, and 3-1 in the South Seven.
