MT. VERNON — As IHSA member schools across the state decide whether or not the state should implement district style football, some local coaches are speaking out on how it would affect their programs.
Mt. Vernon head football coach Jerod Kessler says most of the South Seven would likely stay together with districts, and it would help scheduling.
Schools have until December 17th to turn in their vote. The results will be announced the next day. If passed, district football would start in the 2021 season.
