NASHVILLE — For the second time ever, and the first time since 1989, the Nashville Hornettes volleyball team has made it to state. The Hornettes will play Galena Friday afternoon in Normal for a chance to play of a Class 2A state championship.
Hornettes coach Josh Konkel says this is a special group of girls with a special opportunity to bring home a state title to Nashville.
Nashville will play the winner or loser of Pleasant Plains and St. Thomas More out of Champaign on Saturday either for third place or the state championship.
