Pitching Carrying Mt. Vernon Rams As They Look to Warm Up The Bats Late

MT. VERNON — Rams baseball is looking for a sustained hot streak from their bats as the postseason quickly approaches. In their last seven games, they have scored more than three runs in a game just twice.

Mt. Vernon baseball coach Tim Holloway says even with the cold bats, their pitching has been going above and beyond what’s needed.

Mt. Vernon faces a tough matchup this afternoon when they’ll play host to the Marion Wildcats. They beat Marion on the road earlier this year 9-6.

You can hear the game live on WMIX AM 940, 96.5 FM or online at wmixsports.com. Pregame will start around 4:15, with first pitch at 4:30 from Brennan Klein.
