Rams Baseball Looking to Catch Fire

MT. VERNON — The Mt. Vernon Rams baseball team isn’t where they want to be as they hover around the .500 mark with about half of the season in the books. But Rams baseball coach Tim Holloway believes this team is approaching a hot streak.

Holloway says they’ve played .500 ball while many of their games have been on the road against some of the toughest competition in Southern Illinois.

Tonight the Rams play host to the Cahokia Comanches as they look to rebound from the loss in their last South Seven Conference game in Carbondale on Tuesday. You can hear the game on AM 940, 96.5 FM and online at WMIXSports.com. First pitch is scheduled for 4:30 p.m.
