Woodlawn Cardinals Continue to Look to Improve Even With Hot Start to Season

WOODLAWN — The Woodlawn Cardinals continue to power through the first half of the season. They blew out Waltonville at home Friday night 56-23, and their only loss this year came to Pinckneyville in the Kaskaskian Classic in Carlyle.

Woodlawn boys basketball coach Brian Gamber says he makes sure his team never settles for how they play, so they are always looking to improve.

The Cardinals will play host to Webber on Tuesday and travel to Odin Friday night. Next week, Woodlawn will be one of many area schools competing in the Sesser-Valier Holiday Tournament.
